Democrats--the "run away" party

The Democrats have some self-inflicted wounds. Rather than accept that elections have consequences, Wisconsin Democratic state senators have fled to Illinois. Currently they are in Harvard, in McHenry County--Cal Skinner has superb on-the-scene reporting of the floating Democratic rump parliament.

And Dairyland Dems aren't alone. Indiana House Democrats have fled their state capitol and are holed-up in Urbana, Illinois. Like their Wisconsin brethren, the Hoosiers are trying to prevent a vote on legislation their union cronies oppose.

Democrats--this is your party. When you face tough vote, you run away. You've skedaddled out of two state capitols on behalf of Big Labor, which represents an anemic seven percent of the workforce.

You made your bed, Dems--now sleep in it.

Meanwhile, Illinois' Democratic Governor Pat Quinn, a public-sector union lackey, isn't going to encourage these legislators to go home and do their jobs anytime soon.
