Walmart is giving away $1.5 million to fight hunger in six metropolitan areas. Here's how it works: Go to
http://fightinghunger.walmart.com, log onto Facebook, and choose the community you want to help by clicking "Like." The metropolitan area with the most "Likes" will receive $1 million for hunger relief efforts, the five runner-ups will receive $100,000 each. I voted for
Chicago, which is
way, way behind the current Top Six.
They are:
- Memphis
- Bakersfield, CA
- Youngstown, OH
- Fresno, CA
- Orlando
- Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, CA
Voting ends on New Year's Eve.

ReplyDeleteNot anymore. Daley has always favored them, but a majority of the city council has been against them until recently.
