Danish terrorist attacks averted

Four men who Danish officials say were planning an "imminent" terrorist attack on the Copenhagen office of Jyllands-Posten were arrested this morning.

Jyllands-Posten is the newspaper that published the Muhammad cartoons that offended many Muslims, including one that substituted the Prophet's turban with a lit bomb.

Hey, they're just cartoons. And they were published five years ago.

The men, who security officers are describing as "militant Islamists," planned to enter Jylland Postens' news desk and kill as many people as possible.

The cartoons controversy barely registered a blip outside Denmark, until a group of Danish imams "shopped" the photos throughout the Middle East. One image they showed was of a Frenchman dressed as a pig--which was not part of the Jyllands-Posten collection.

In the predictable riots that followed, over 100 people died. Again, these occurred after the "cartoon tour."

As you will read below, the Danes are indeed a great people.

UPDATE 9:00AM: Fox News is reporting that five suspected terrorists were arrested in Copenhagen.
