Undeserved honor: Ex-SEIU, AFL-CIO prez to receive highest civilian award from Obama

Last year President Obama received an undeserved honor--a Nobel Peace Prize. It looks like he wants to "spread the wealth around" by awarding former SEIU and AFL-CIO president John Sweeney the nation's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Sweeney pushed labor to the far-left while heading SEIU--Andy Stern was one of his proteges--embracing such radical groups as the now defunct ACORN, with whom Barack Obama once worked as a trainer and represented in a lawsuit. Sweeney is a member of the radical Democratic Socialists of America.

SEIU grew under his watch, mostly by organizing government workers which has led to our current public sector pension crisis and budget woes caused by skyrocketing salaries. During that time Sweeney was a union double-dipper.

But the AFL-CIO continued to bleed members during his 14 year tenure, which began after leaving his SEIU post. During that time SEIU and the Teamsters split from the AFL-CIO.

But Sweeney's AFL-CIO and its member unions continued to shower the Democrats with cash. Is that why Sweeney is receiving the the Presidential Medal of Freedom?

Pay for play, anyone?
