Cool breeze: Chicago Climate Exchange closing

The little guy wins one
Cap and trade is finally dead. Although the mainstream media for the most part overlooked it, the Chicago Climate Exchange will be closing down--its parent company announced earlier this week.

CCX was a voluntary but legally binding cap and trade organization touted by Al Gore as a way to save the planet. It seemed to be positioning itself as government-agency-in-waiting for the roll out of a federal cap and and trade program. Many large corporations were members.

But once the jobs-creating class, small business, as well as regular folks, learned that cap and trade was a jobs-and prosperity-inhibitor--support for the liberal scheme collapsed.

David has beaten Goliath again.
