Rep. Mark Kirk (R-Highland Park) soars into July upon the news that he raised $2.3 million for his Illinois US Senate campaign and he has $3.9 million of cash on hand. His Democratic counterpart, state treasurer Alexi Giannoulias of Chicago, did not release his second quarter figures, which is fitting, because he still hasn't released his 2009 federal income tax returns. Well, he's just a treasurer, do you really expect him to be good at financial statements?
