If you drive west from Morton Grove on Dempster, you will pass 5,561 flags in front Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, the flags honor the fallen heroes from our wars in Iraq and Afganistan. A few hours ago a memorial mass was held honoring these men and women who gave all.
Have a Happy July 4th, enjoy the fun and fireworks, but also remember 5,561 Americans today.
