Fraud investigation expanding in Lake County voter registration drive with SEIU ties

Once reliably Republican, Lake County Illinois, which is the county north of where I live, is slipping into the Democratic camp. And at least in Illinois, where there are a lot of Democrats, vote fraud and voter registration fraud follows.

Last spring Jeannette Sims, of Chicago's West Side, was charged with fraudulently filling out at least 10 voter registration cards. She was working as part of a SEIU-sponsored voter registration drive. Prosecutors are looking at twenty other cards, which are part of an additional 1,000 cards they view as suspicious. All of these cards, the Daily Herald reports, are tied to that SEIU registration drive, which occurred in 2008.

The paper reports that the union is cooperating with prosecutors. But the investigation has expanded--where will it lead?
