Church service in a Morton Grove Forest Preserve

Before its annual picnic--which is going on as I write this entry--St. John's Lutheran Church of Chicago's Northwest Side held its Sunday worship service in a tent in Morton Grove's Linne Woods Forest Preseve. Signs on the running path encouraged passerbys to join the mass.

Sometimes it makes sense to bring the church to the people, instead of bringing people to church.
