As Blago trial begins, Illinois' bond rating lowered

Opening arguments began this afternoon in the corruption trial of Rod Blagojevich. How fitting: Because ThirdWaveDave e-mailed me just now to let me know that Illinois' credit rating has been lowered. Again.

Blago used a smoke-and-mirrors method of "balancing" the budget, and his onetime running mate, Pat Quinn, is adding to the wreckage.
