Bomb defused in Times Square

In yet another reminder that we live in dangerous times, a detonated propane car bomb was defused in New York City's Time Square last night.

The bomb-laden vehicle was parked in front of a theater where "The Lion King" was being performed.

An alert T-shirt vendor, a Vietnam veteran, told a mounted policeman about his suspicions about the suspicious SUV.

The bomb-squad of the New York City Police Department completed the heroics.
