Public-sector riches: 1 in 3 San Francisco employees made more than $100K in '09

The City of San Francisco employs 27,000 workers, and one in three of them made more than $100,000 last year, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Before benefits--which are quite generous compared to their private-sector counterparts--the average SF municipal employee collected $93,000 in 2009.

And those wages are 20 percent higher than the private-sector workers these public employees serve.
