Gas a buck higher since Obama took office

The Washington Times is reporting that gasoline prices have risen one dollar since Barack Obama was sworn into office.

And there are many politicians, most of them Democrats, who feel we are not paying enough for gas.

I've been a proponent of "Drill here, drill now, and pay less" since before I started this blog.

Unfortunately, the people running things don't get it:

"The prices are set by the world market," said Kendra Barkoff, a spokeswoman for the Interior Department, which manages federal lands that would be leased for oil exploration.
But if we drill here that would increase supply, which would mean--well, you know, cheaper gasoline!
The article is centered around how gasoline prices in Washington are heading towards the $3 mark.

I'm already paying more than that.
