Ill. Senate: It's Kirk vs. Giannoulias

Rep. Mark Kirk easily won yesterday's Republican Senate primary in Illinois. He has my support, and I welcome the opportunity to win "the People's Seat" in the Land of Lincoln this autumn.

Kirk will be facing state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias. The Chicago Democrat limped to victory yesterday in his primary contest--questions about the money-losing Bright Star college savings progam his office managed, and the ongoing financial troubles of his family-owned Broadway Bank will continue to fester for Giannoulias.

The Democrats have a lot of problems in Illinois, as this Kirk campaign video reminds us:



And the National Republican Senatorial Committee has already come up with a vicsious attack video against Giannoulias. This one included Tony Rezko, Rod Blagojevich, and the Mob.

Giannoulias? Fuggeddaboutit.
