One year and one day ago George W. Bush was still president of the United States. My biggest criticism of him was him was his addiction to spending--but what a difference a year makes. Not that Bush is absolved of this sin, but compared to Barack Obama, the Texan was a miser. As I've remarked previously, like Harry Truman, who left the White House with
abysmal approval ratings, Bush will look better as time passes.
