2010 Senate races: Dodd and Dorgan to retire

Two Democrats facing daunting reelection chances, Chris Dodd of Connecticut and Byron Dorgan of North Dakota, announced they will retire at the end of their terms.

Ethically-challenged Dodd was a goner--so this is actually good news for the Democrats. As for Dorgan, North Dakota blogger Say Anything declares "This changes everything."

In Colorado, Democratic Governor Bill Ritter announced yesterday that he will not be running for a second term.

They're bailing early, it seems.
