Someone like Gov. Tim Pawlenty gives me hope in Illinois. Once one of the most liberal states in the nation, Minnesota--despite the ACORN-assisted election of Sen. Al Franken--has been trending conservative for the last couple of decades.
A Republican, Pawlenty hosted a "pretzels and pints" fundraiser in Washington last night for his Freedom First PAC.
What's good enough for Illinois--Al Franken excepted---is good enough for the Land of Lincoln.
