Jim Ryan considering run for Illinois governor

Former Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan is considering reentering politics and running for governor.

Ryan was defeated by Rod Blagojevich in 2002. To say the wrong guy won is a vast understatement.

The Elmhurst Republican was forced to run against the corrupt legacy of George H. Ryan (no relation), the one term GOP governor who now resides in the Terre Haute Federal Correctional Institute. The pair were not political allies.

Jim Ryan has worked in academia since 2003.

A law enforcement officer might be just what we need in the governor's mansion.
