British ObamaCare update: Euthanasia by stealth

Do we really want to take our nation into that point-of-no-return known as government run health care?

Writing for the London Telegraph, the paper's religious editor, the Reverend George Pitcher, gives us a chilling account of socialized medicine:

I see that my column today about a funeral I conducted last week for an octogenarian ex-Ghurka, who was treated with contempt in hospital when his liver disease was thought to be alcohol-related but was whisked onto palliative care when he was diagnosed with irreversible pancreatic cancer, appears in the same edition as the story of an 80-year-old woman who was left to die as a hopeless case by the NHS (National Health Service) last January, only to be rescued by the devoted diligence of her daughter.

Christine Ball says of her mother's "treatment" under the controversial Liverpool Care Pathway scheme, which smooths the path to death for the terminally ill: "[She] was going to be left to starve and dehydrate to death. It really is a subterfuge for legalised euthanisia of the elderly on the NHS."

Do we really want to rush into ObamaCare? Do we even want it?

  1. We must want to rush into it.Our elected officials keep voting down provisions to give us 72 hours to read the bill before they vote on it.
