McConnell: Start over on health care reform

The leader of the Senate Republicans is suggesting a more "incremental approach" to health care reform, according to the Kansas City Star:

Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell says it is time to "step back and start over" on health care reform.

McConnell is holding a closed town hall meeting at Children's Mercy Hospital, along with Sen. John McCain and Sen. Kit Bond, all Republicans.

The trio met with hospital staff and got a look at the hospital's new helicopter.

McConnell also criticized plans to pay for health reform by cutting Medicare and Medicaid. Many of the patients at the hospital use Medicaid services.
