Detroit and the underground railroad

Because of its location on the Canadian border, Detroit naturally played a major role when the undeground railroad network was in place to free slaves before the Civil War.

Levois Jenkins of It's My Mind shows that more than one blogger can write about politics and travel; he reports on a Motor City sculpture that honors the work of those who toiled to free others.
