Obama the nihilist whiffing on Iran

President Obama waited more than to issue a strong statement regarding the anti-regime protests occurring in Iran. Today he issued a wussy statement, asking for the mullahs to end their "violent and unjust" actions.

The American Thinker's Paul Kengor knows Ronald Reagan would have handled this situation much differently:

What would be Reagan's reaction to what's happening in Iran? That's a slam-dunk: He would have responded as he did to every cry for freedom suffocating under the last global scourge America battled -- Soviet communism. Wherever those resisting the despots resided and raised their voices, in Afghanistan, in Nicaragua, in Poland, Reagan was consistent, never missing the opportunity, always staying on theme. He called these people "freedom fighters."

The Gipper would not have waited a week to respond.

He wouldn't have waited at all.

As for Obama, he's a nihilist. Except when it comes to his creed of expanding government.

"Freedom fighters" mean nothing to him.
