Marathon Pundit: Englishman with Swine Flu says government-run health care let him down

Here's another horror story about government run health care. This one regards an extra long wait time for a diagnosis of an Englishman who was found to be suffering from the H1N1 virus, and comes to us courtesy of the Portsmouth News:

William Grech had to wait five days for test results to confirm he had (Swine Flu) before being given the antiviral drug Tamiflu.

The businessman had complained of feeling unwell after traveling to Turkey.

But as it's not a high-risk country new Health Protection Agency guidelines meant he fell into a lower-risk category.

He then had to wait five days for the results to come back – longer than the usual 48 hours – before he could get treatment.
