Democratic Party operatives are mocking the group, since Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele and Newt Gingrich, who led the enormously successful Contract with America in 1994, are not part of it. McCarthy disposes of that "point."
Everyone is invited to take part.
The group's fist townhall meeting is today, in Arlington, Virginia.
I hope there will be a townhall near me. Cook County, Illinois is home to Rod Blagojevich's Democratic senator, Roland Burris, Blago himself, and the nation's highest sales tax.
There's a lot of anger here.
