Chicago has nation's highest gasoline prices

Folks like myself who live in the Chicago area have to suffer not only the nation's highest sales tax, we also pay more for gasoline than anywhere else in the country--33 cents more per gallon than the nation's average.

I pay a little less in Morton Grove than in Chicago proper, two hours ago the local Marathon station was charging $2.75 per gallon for regular.

I have some ideas on how to solve this problem.

Drill here, drill now, pay less.

Build more refineries.

Cut the gas tax.
