Blago beat...investigations

The fallout out from the ongoing Rod Blagojevich scandals continues. The man Blago sent to Washington, Sen. Roland Burris, says he's spent $500,000 on legal bills related to his appointment. Not only is the Senate Ethics Committee investigating Burris, but so is the Sangamon County state's attorney. The latter is looking into perjury allegations against the South Side Chicago Democrat.

Two days ago the Chicago Sun-Times revealed that the newly formed Office of Congressional Ethics is investigating another South Sider, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., regarding his unsuccessful quest for the Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama.

Just another day in Illinois.
