Defying the horrific trends in retail, Wal-Mart reported a 5.1 percent increase in February sales.
As I reported last month, the world's largest corporation is looking to greatly expand its presence in Chicago, where it currently has only one store.

Personally, I don't love going into Walmart, but you can't deny that they provide products people want at more than reasonable prices. And addiing Walmarts to the city would certainly help Chicago fight the recession.
ReplyDeleteBut Chicago will never bring more Walmart's into the city due to their anti-union stance, though. Gotta keep those donators happy! Grrrr.
