Fifteen years ago: Michael Jordan in spring training with the White Sox

The biggest sports story of early 1994 was Michael Jordan; the Chicago Bulls great was a member of the Chicago White Sox spring training roster.

Jordan's foray into baseball was not a success, he spent the 1994 season playing for the Class AA Birmingham Barons, where he struggled at the plate, and surprisingly, was not a power hitter. After the Barons' season ended, Jordan played in the Arizona Fall League, and by the following spring, Jordan was back in a Bulls uniform, with the exception of the film Space Jam, Jordan's baseball career was in his rear view mirror.

But it was an exciting time for the White Sox and Major League Baseball--15 springs ago.

Jordan returned to the Bulls and led the red-and-black to three more NBA championships.
