Congress: Investigate ACORN now!

Last week Republican National Lawyers Association Vice President Heather Heidelbaugh testifed about ACORN before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, which is chaired by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY).

After her testimony, Heidelbaugh held a bloggers' conference call in which I participated.

ACORN, which is short for Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now, is alleged to have involved in thousands of vote fraud instances in over a dozen states during last year's presidential campaign.

Nadler is the subcommittee chair, but John Conyers (D-MI) is the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and he wondered out loud if Nadler's subcommittee should investigate ACORN. Nadler said he would when "credible" evidence emerged about the left-wing group.
