Ill. Supreme Court: Sec'y of State does not have to sign Burris appt. papers

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) was waiting for Jesse White to sign, possibly against his will, the papers connected to Rod Blagojevich's appointment of Roland Burris to the US Senate.

Now what does Reid do? The Illinois Supreme Court ruled this afternoon that White cannot be forced to sign those papers.
