Friends of Barack update: ACORN in trouble in Nevada, Ohio: UPDATED

Community organizer-supreme ACORN is back in the news, and what you're going to read does not come from ACORN's public relations office. Nevada officials raided an ACORN office because they suspected the group was registering non-existent voters, including the entire starting line-up of the Dallas Cowboys, who probably live in Texas.

Obama used to work for ACORN. Well, he denies it, but after graduating from law school, Obama was director of Chicago's Project Vote--an ACORN group. That's Obama on the right conducting a training for ACORN--oops, I'm sorry, Project Vote.

Hear it in Obama's own words:

Three years later Governor Jim Edgar refused to implement the federal "motor voter" law that required state department of motor vehicle offices to offer those applying or renewing licenses to be asked if they'd like to register to vote. Edgar, a downstate Illinois Republican who was familiar with electoral funny business, especially originating from Chicago, feared vote fraud would be result

Obama, with ACORN's backing, sued Illinois. Obama and ACORN won.

Obama sat on the board of The Woods Fund--with Bill Ayers, who was its chairman for a while--and approved grants to ACORN.

By the way, Allison S. Davis, Obama's former law firm boss and the head of a housing development firm, also received Woods Fund grants.

ACORN, a bullying group of the Jesse Jackson-mode, is one of the villains of our financial crisis. For years the group pressured lenders to ease credit standards so poorer people could get mortgages for homes, it turns out, that many could not afford.

Michelle Malkin is reporting on alleged ACORN chicanery in Ohio.

UPDATE 11:45pm CDT: Acorns are falling everywhere. ACORN voter registrations being questioned in Missouri. No ties to ACORN--they do have an office there--but 105% of the eligible residents to vote in Indianapolis have done that.

Audacity!
