Steve Earle Live: "The Revolution Starts Now"
This evening I appeared on Andrea Shea King's BlogTalk Radio Show, and while I was talking about Steve Earle, she suggested that I post up a video of the performer--not everyone is familiar with him--on Marathon Pundit.
"The Revolution Starts Now" song is an appropriate choice. Earle does not hide his quite left-of-center beliefs, and the song was released in autumn of 2004--so it could sway votes to John Kerry. It didn't matter. George W. Bush won, and a year later, the song was being used by Chevrolet in a television commercial as part of its "American Revolution" theme of advertisements.
Quite a revolution.
I'll be on the Andrea Shea King Show tomorrow too.
