Note to Good Morning America: We are not in a recession

I'm watching a Robin Roberts segment on "Good Morning America," an apparent regular part of the show, called "Recession Rescue."

Here is the generally agreed upon definition of a recession:

A period of general economic decline; specifically, a decline in GDP for two or more consecutive quarters.

We have not had two consecutive quarters of negative growth, or even on, this year, or last year.

Good Morning America: Please report the news, don't try to sway it.
