Code Pink radical is an Obama bundler

Jodie Evans, pictured on the right, is a co-founder of the radical leftist group Code Pink. And she is a bundler for the Cult of Change leader, Barack Obama, as the Politico's Jonathan Martin reports:

Jodie Evans has pledged to raise at least $50,000 for Obama, according the Democrat's campaign site.

According to research being circulated by GOP sources, Evans has a record of inflammatory statements such as saying that women were better off in Iraq under Saddam Hussein, "Men are dying in their Hummers in Iraq so you can drive around in yours" and, my favorite, that the invasion of Iraq amounted to "global testosterone poisoning."

Evans, though, is not just a single-issue crusader. She's worked in politics and liberal causes for decades, including stints working for Jerry Brown during his years as governor and in his 1992 White House run.

That an activist liberal is raising money for Obama isn't all that surprising. But in a campaign that has been dominated as much by the associates of candidates as the candidates themselves (Jeremiah Wright, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush), Evans is a reminder that what may not have mattered much in a primary has the potential to be resonant in the general.

Here is Gateway Pundit's take:

The tools from Code Pink posed as human shields for the Saddam Hussein regime.

Matt Lewis at Townhall adds this:

Essentially, this just underscores the fact that Obama is being financially supported by the same old Leftist radicals who have been around for years.

Red State has more:

It seems there is another list that goes on and on. The list of radicals, extremists, and left-wing wackos out there working to get Obama elected. As Erick has so well illuminated, Obama is of them, he is from them. He's their guy, and their success.

  1. They are the same old Leftist radicals as before, but this is as close as they've come to having a direct voice in the White House. Even McGovern was only reluctantly and by circumstance related to this crowd; Obama has spent the bulk of his adult years courting the favor of these folks. I'd call it chickens coming home to roost but for some reason it doesn't appear to be jarring the electorate in any meaningful way. I guess we'll see in November if it affects him negatively.
