Chicago White Sox win home opener

One more baseball post...

I had an enjoyable afternoon watching the telecast of the home opener of the Chicago White Sox. Not only did the win come in a dramatic fashion--a come from behind victory on the wings of a Joe Crede grand slam, but it was their fifth win in a row.

This run already exceeds their best winning streak from their disappointing 2007 campaign

Sox starter Javier Vázquez was the winning pitcher, Minnesota Twins' reliever Matt Guerrier was the loser, and Pat Neshek, who gave up the fatal pitch to Crede, gets a blown save pinned to his name.
