Rev. Wright is wrong for Tampa church

Last night the Reverend Jeremiah Wright was supposed to be a guest preacher at the 10th anniversary celebration of the Fellowship Church of Temple Terrace in Tampa, Florida. But the church cancelled what was to be a decidedly audacious appearance.

Perhaps the parishioners didn't want to hear Barack Obama's former pastor scream "God damn America." Maybe the church didn't want a media circus. Or possibly the place of worship didn't want to pay for the extra security needed.

But for whatever reason, Wright was wrong for Tampa.
