Monday could be a big day in the Rezko trial

Today's testimony picked up from Wednesday's--that of Democratic political insider Tony Rezko's alleged Svengali-like power over the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board.

There will be no proceedings tomorrow, the trial will pick up on Monday, when the prosecution's star witness, Stuart Levine, may testify.

Levine, a Republican from Highland Park, pleaded quilty to various corruption charges two years ago. By all accounts a quirky individual, Levine apparently once had a serious drug habit, something Rezko's attorneys will inform the jury of as often as they can get away with.
