Bill Ayers watch: New York, March 24-28

Did you miss early Barack Obama supporter, and former Weather Underground terrorist, Bill Ayers at the Louder Than A Bomb Youth Poetry Slam in Chicago? Are you going to be in New York from March 24-28? Then you will be able find the onetime bomber in Manhattan at the annual American Educational Research Association convention. Ayers has been quiet about his Obama ties since they were revealed by various media sources. Obama hasn't talked his ties to Ayers either.

I looked all over the site to see where you can apply for press credentials. Maybe someone with better eyes will succeed.

Unless otherwise noted, Ayers is listed as a participant in each of these events. For more information, click here, and type "William Ayers" in the search box.

I'm a ten year veteran of the hospitality industry, so I have to remind you that dates, times, and locations are subject to change.

While Ayers is in New York, he might be looking up another former Weather Underground terrorist, Brian Flanagan, who until recently owned a bar there. It was Flanagan's confrontation with future Cook County Sheriff Richard Elrod during the Days of Rage that permanently paralyzed Elrod.

If Ayers is getting further nostalgic about the good old days, he can head to the Greenwich Village neighborhood and visit the site of the brownstone that was accidentally blown up by Weather Underground terrorists in 1970. It was believed they were building a nail-bomb for the purpose of killing soldiers at Fort Dix. Three Weather Underground members were killed in the blast.

And finally, in regards to that first seminar listed, Memory and Memoir, it's interesting to note that the opening sentence of Ayers' memoir Fugutive Days is "Memory is a motherf*cker."
