"Teddy Bear" teacher pardoned

British teacher Gillian Gibbons has been pardoned by the Sudanese president and is in the safe hands of the British embassy in Khartoum.

Some people just don't get it, and they're not all in Sudan.

Here is the current headline on Yahoo! of the AP story:
Briton pardoned in Sudan Islam insult

Note to headline writer: The kids in her class voted to name the teddy bear Muhammad. Gillian didn't insult Islam. The government of Sudan owes her an apology.

UPDATE December 4: Now that the unfortunate teacher is back in England it's okay to have some fun with this story, which Pat Hickey does in "...With both Hands."
