Man who shot Wallace returns to changed world

I'm old enough to remember when Arthur Bremer, who was released from prison this morning, tried to assassinate Democratic Presidential candidate George Wallace, then Governor of Alabama, in a Maryland shopping mall.

Bremer shot Wallace in May--it was in the heart of the 1972 presidential primary season.

Next year, the primary season peaks in February. Things have changed a lot since then.
