Chicago picked by USOC for 2016 host city

In a bit of an upset, Chicago won over Los Angeles to be the United States Olympic Committee's choice to represent the US in its bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics.

With the 2008 games being held in Beijing, and London taking the honors for 2012, it might be "our turn," as the International Olympic Committee likes to shuttle the games between continents.

This will be personally be really exciting for me, that is, if I'm still living in the Chicago area nine years from now.
