Sheehan shriekers disrupt Rahm press conference

A press conference led by the architect of the Democratic takeover of the House, Rahm Emanuel of Chicago, was disrupted by a horde of Cindy Sheehan shriekers earlier today on Capitol Hill.

From Fox News:

Iraq war protesters broke up a press conference by House Democrats on Wednesday with chants to bring American troops home from Iraq.

Chanting "de-escalate, investigate, troops home now," the protesters disrupted a briefing aimed at outlining priority goals when Democrats take over the House and Senate on Thursday.

Cindy Sheehan, an anti-war activist and mother of a soldier who died in Iraq, led the group to Capitol Hill to warn Democrats that party activists expect them to end the war in Iraq and confront the White House on a change in Iraq strategy.

As long as we are on the subject of investigations, when is Cindy Sheehan going to give a candid answer in regards to her funding sources for her international jihad to end our military involvement in Iraq?

Her typical answers is, "supporters."

Congressman Rahm Emanuel is not one of my favorite politicians, but he does deserve the courtesy of holding a conference in a House of Representatives office building without Sheehan's smelly friends shouting him down.

On my drive home from work, I heard the audio of the Sheehan-led chant: I couldn't even make out what they were chanting. But that wasn't the point, drawing attention to themselves was.

The Emanuel press conference had nothing to do with Iraq, it was about upcoming ethics legislation.

Hopefully we will not turn into a society where the loudest group gets its way.
