Obama reduces Chicago gang "governor" Fat Eric's sentence

Englewood, Chicago's South Side
In his flurry of midnight madness pardons and commutations that include traitor Bradley "Chelsea" Manning, Barack Obama cut the sentence of a former Illinois governor. No, it wasn't Rod Blagojevich, whose family maintains hope that the hair-brained Chicago Democrat will receive a pardon or commutation of his sentence from Obama. It was Eric "Fat Eric" Wilson, a "governor" in the Gangster Disciples street gang, by far the most powerful criminal organization in Chicago and a group that has played a significant role in placing America's third-largest city on the abyss or worse.

Governor Wilson was serving a life sentence for drug crimes. G-D governors such as Wilson, at least in the 1990s, had hundreds of thugs reporting to him. He was sent away in 1998, Obama commuted Wilson's life sentence to 35 years.

Former Black Panther Bobby Rush, a congressman from Chicago's South Side whose district covers much of the base of the Gangster Disciples, wrote a letter to Obama where he declared that Fat Eric deserved a break because of his "extraordinary rehabilitative efforts."

Chicago suffered nearly 800 murders last year--most of them were tied to gangs such as the Gangster Disciples.

Obama's action is another example of what Mayor Rahm Emanuel calls "Chicago values."

Taking out the trash: Obama commutes Manning sentence

Bradley "Chelsea" Manning, the transgendered douchebag who gave classified secrets to Wikileaks--Oh, the John Podesta emails weren't military or government documents--had his 35 year prison sentence commuted by our lame duck president. Manning will be a free, uh well, person in a few months.

Well, the Leavenworth stockade will be a better place without Manning.

Trump eyes 20 percent slash of federal employee, 10 percent spending cuts

Not even the great Ronald Reagan was able to pull something like this off.

It's time to Make America Great Again.

From the Washington Examiner:
Making good on a promise to slash government, President-elect Trump has asked his incoming team to pursue spending and staffing cuts.

Insiders said that the spending reductions in some departments could go as high as 10 percent and staff cuts to 20 percent, numbers that would rock Washington if he follows through.

At least two so-called "landing teams" in Cabinet agencies have relayed the call for cuts as part of their marching orders to shrink the flab in government.

The cuts would target discretionary spending, not mandated programs such as Medicare or Social Security, the sources said.
It's supposed to be "government of the people, by the people, for the people."

The people aren't here for the government. Clearly Trump gets it.

Yes, US Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) is a civil rights hero, but that doesn't give him the right to lie about his political opponents. My good friend Joel Pollak of Breitbart is right. The man who is boycotting Donald J. Trump's inauguration because he is not legitimate also boycotted George W. Bush's swearing-in for the same reason.

Both of these men were Republicans--and of course they were legitimately elected to the nation's highest office.

Chiraq: 10 dead and at least 29 others wounded over MLK weekend

MLK Legacy Apartments, on the site
where King lived
Violence never takes time off in Chicago and the three day Martin Luther King holiday weekend of course was no exception. Over the long weekend ten people were murdered and at least 29 others were wounded.

Of the deadly shootings, seven of them occurred on the West Side. It's almost forgotten now, but in 1966 King and his family moved to the West Side and they briefly lived in the North Lawndale neighborhood, where one of this weekend's gun fatalities took place.

This was the first weekend since the Department of Justice issued a report where it castigated the Chicago Police Department for excessive brutality, poor judgment, inadequate training, and ineffective oversight. However, John Kass, the Chicago Tribune's respected political columnist, correctly places the blame upon the city's longtime corrupt political culture, long dominated by the Democratic machine.

#TrumpSpring: GM announces $1B in investments, 1K new jobs

Trump Spring is here!

From the Detroit News:
General Motors Co. plans to announce Tuesday that it will invest $1 billion in U.S. plants, including in Michigan, adding more than 1,000 jobs, according to a source familiar with the automaker’s plans.

The news comes as President-elect Donald Trump praised Ford Motor Co. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV last week for investing in the United States and adding jobs here. Conversely, Trump has called out GM and other carmakers for producing vehicles in Mexico and has suggested they will pay a "big border tax" for shipping Mexican-made vehicles to the United States.

Fiat Chrysler on Jan. 8 said it would invest $1 billion in plants in Michigan and Ohio, adding 2,000 jobs to produce new Jeep vehicles. Earlier in January, Ford announced it would invest $700 million in its Flat Rock Assembly plant, adding 700 jobs as it adds production of a new electric small SUV and an autonomous hybrid vehicle. Ford also said it canceled plans for a new small car plant in Mexico.

"I hope that General Motors will be following," Trump said at a news conference last week. "I think they will be."

Indiana, Lincoln's Boyhood Home
Yes, it will be morning in America again beginning Friday. On Inauguration Day, Mike Pence will take his vice presidential oath with his hand on a Bible once owned by Ronald Reagan. The Gipper took his presidential oaths with that Bible. It will be open on the page of II Corinthians 7-14.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land
Giving the oath will be Associate Justice Clarence Thomas, he'll be the first African American justice to perform this task.

Media distortion from Yahoo and the Christian Science Monitor on Obama and religion

Trinity United Church of
Christ in 2008
Someone named Amy Sullivan writing for Yahoo and the Christian Science Monitor spewed out a couple of dozen or so paragraphs on Barack Obama and his religious beliefs. While the lame duck's longtime membership in Trinity United Church of Christ is mentioned, there is no mention of the pastor there, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. Nor was there a word about the that Wright's hateful anti-American philosophy and his racist Black Liberation Theology. It was Wright who, on the Sunday after the 9/11 attacks, shouted "Not God bless America but God d*mn America" and "America's chickens have are coming home to roost."

Wright presided over Obama's wedding and he baptized his daughters. He was not some peripheral character in Obama's life--he was the man he credited for his conversion to Christianity.

When the Rev. Wrong became too controversial for even Obama, he quit Trinity United, shortly after he declared, "I can no more disown (the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr.) than I can disown my white grandmother."

This is the sin-of-omission of media bias, Ms. Sullivan.

Chicago Police department ripped in DOJ report

Had Hillary Clinton won the presidency this report would not have had as much "bang" as Rahm Emanuel would be serving in her cabinet next week.

But now he's twisting in the wind.

From ABC Chicago:
The investigation portrayed a police force corroded by the use of unreasonable force - many times prompted by a factor of racism - and protected by a code of silence. The deadly force and racism issue went uncontrolled because of a lack of training, according to the DOJ report.

"We found CPD officers do not fully report their uses of force and that supervisors are not appropriately reviewing these uses of force. We found that Chicago's accountability systems are broken. Many complaints that should be investigated are not," said Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta, head of the Civil Rights Division.

From officers falsifying reports, to lying in court testimony, to cover-ups of misconduct and crime data, the DOJ report summed up the city's thick blue curtain.

"For decades, Chicago has failed to develop a comprehensive, integrated system to track and make public basic information about its police force," the report said.

It has them? Illinois bicentennial logo shows its strengths

Next year Illinois will celebrate its bicentennial, which I bet you didn't know. That's because like a birthday for a coma patient, there's not much to celebrate. Illinois has $11 billion in unpaid bills, it has the worst credit rating of the states, it has unsustainable pension debt, and the state House just reelected its funeral director in all-but-name as speaker, Democratic boss Michael Madigan, who has held that job for 32 of the last 34 years.

On the positive side--and there isn't much good news in Illinois, voters elected a Republican reformer as governor three years ago, Bruce Rauner. He made an announcement about the bicenntenial yesterday.

From AP:
Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner kicked off planning for the state’s 200th birthday Thursday by unveiling the bicentennial logo at the historic Old State Capitol in Springfield, where Abraham Lincoln once served in the Legislature.

Rauner showed off the gold-and-blue symbol with its designer at the first meeting of the Illinois Bicentennial Commission, which was formed to organize the festivities in 2018. “We reflect virtually every aspect of America,” he said. “We are a crossroads of the nation.”

The logo, which was designed and donated by Ben Olson of the Schaumburg-based public relations firm 3 Monkeys and an Aardvark Studios, reflects those strengths, bicentennial organizers said.

Twenty-one gold stars — marking Illinois’ 1818 entry into the union as its 21st state — surround a blue outline of the state. In the middle of the bicentennial logo is a gold-colored “200” in a white sunburst with rays emanating in all directions.

Midnight madness policy change: Obama alters Cuban immigration policy

Obama loves
the Castros
If changing an immigration policy that has been in place since, well Bill Clinton was president, was such a capital idea, why does lame duck Barack Obama wait until eight days before he leaves office?

This guy can't leave soon enough for me.

From Fox News:
President Barack Obama announced Thursday that he was ending a longstanding immigration policy that allowed any Cuban who made it to U.S. soil to stay and become a legal resident.

In a statement, Obama said the so-called "wet foot, dry foot" policy was "designed for a different era" of U.S.-Cuba relations.

Under the new policy, which takes effect immediately, Cubans who attempt to enter the U.S. illegally without qualifying for humanitarian relief will be sent back to the island.

"By taking this step," Obama said, "we are treating Cuban migrants the same way we treat migrants from other countries."
Cuba is an enemy of free people and an enemy of the United States. It's refugees should be treated differently because this enemy state lies 90 miles from Key West, Florida.

Let's hope that Trump reverses Obama.

As for Dear Leader Obama, well, leftists have a soft spot for left-wing tyrants, such as the Castro brothers.

ObamaCare death looms

John "Lee" Ruberry of
Da Tech Guy's Magnificent Seven
The sugar buzz from Barack Obama's cloying farewell address has worn off by now among even his most loyal backers.

And now reality settles in. There was a tremendous sugar high--not for me--when Obama promised that the average family would spend $2,500 less a year on health care after the passage of ObamaCare. As I've mentioned a few times, my health insurance costs have gone up that much since ObamaCare kicked in.

And let's not forget Politifact's Lie of the Year, which comes from Obama, "If you like your health care plan, you can keep it."

From USA Today:
After debating seven hours through the night, the Senate voted early Thursday to take the first real step toward repealing Obamacare — a top goal of congressional Republicans and President-elect Donald Trump.

Senators voted 51-48 to approve a budget resolution that Republicans will use as a vehicle to speed through repeal of the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare. House leaders plan to take it up Friday.

Senators began voting on 19 amendments to the resolution about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday before passing the budget measure about 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

Republicans said the 2010 health care law is broken and must be repealed and replaced with something better — although just what that replacement plan will look like has not yet been revealed by congressional leaders. Critics of the law cite sky-rocketing premiums, high deductibles and fewer health care choices for patients as insurers pull out of the program.

Corpse found on Detroit airport runway

Stories such as this one only seem to come out of Detroit. Don't worry, Motown, in twenty years Chicago will take your place on the bottom rung of the urban ladder.

From the Detroit Free Press:
Police are investigating a body found today on the runway at Coleman A. Young International Airport in Detroit.

Air traffic controllers saw something, a guard went to investigate and discovered the body of a man around noon, police said.

He's been identified as a 61-year-old Detroit man, Detroit Police Sgt. Adam Madera said this afternoon.

"We haven't located any trauma to the body," he said.
Like most of Detroit, the neighborhood where the airport is located is dismal and unhappy.

Madiganstan: Chicago Dem boss elected House speaker for 17th time

Tattered Illinois flag
Illinois Democratic Party chairman Michael Madigan has been state House Speaker for 32 of the last 34 years. He's the the coroner for the decline and fall of Illinois. The nation's fifth most-populous state--for now--is losing population. Its pension debt--bribes really--to the public-sector unions, is unsustainable. The Prairie State has $11 billion in unpaid bills. Of the 50 states Illinois has the lowest credit rating.

Madigan is a major problem for Illinois. Getting rid of him is part of the cure for the state. But today in Springfield 66 Democrats--with one lonely "present" vote--elected the Chicago boss speaker again. If he serves out his two year term--a very likely possibility--he'll set a modern record for longest time as a state House speaker for any state.

Illinois also needs term limits. But Madigan and the Democrats will never agree to them.

In eleven years Illinoisan will be asked if they want to call another state constitutional convention. It's not too early to begin planning for the vote. Besides term limits, the Land of Lincoln needs redistricting reform, a less cumbersome system to create referendums, and Illinois needs to be a right-to-work state.

Here's an idea I like--Illinois should join Nebraska to become the second state to to have a unicameral legislature. There are too many politicians in this country.

Nine kids, dead dog, found in squalor in Detroit home

While there is progress in Detroit's downtown, Midtown, and Corktown, most of the city is a mess.

Here's a frightening example, according to Fox Detroit:
When the Detroit Police Department were executing a search warrant of an abandoned home on the city's west side, they were looking for narcotics. What they found will send shivers down your spine.

Narcotics investigators were at the abandoned home on Livernois to search the home on Tuesday night. There was no heat, no working toilet, no windows - and definitely no place for kids.

Police said the children ranged in age from nine months to nine years and were living in squalor. There weren't even beds for the children to sleep in.

What there was - stunned neighbors. They found feces and even a dead dog inside the home.

Trump, Kremlin, deny Russian #FakeNews prostitution report

Buzzfeed put out a fake news story regarding the president-elect and prostitution.

From the Washington Post:
Donald Trump on Wednesday morning angrily denounced news reports about potentially compromising information Russia has allegedly gathered about him, citing denials from the Kremlin that it has collected any such intelligence.

The president-elect also charged via Twitter that his “crooked opponents” are trying to undermine his electoral victory. He accused the intelligence community of leaking the information to get in “one last shot at me,” saying, “Are we living in Nazi Germany?”

Trump’s comments follow the revelation Tuesday night that a classified report delivered to Trump and President Obama last week, according to U.S. officials, included a section summarizing allegations that Russian intelligence services have compromising information about Trump’s personal life and finances.

ND game officials seek help in poaching crime near #DAPL camp

While there is no proof that this disturbing video--which includes foul language and graphic violence--has anything to do with the protests at the Dakota Access Pipeline, its worth it to me as a blog entry.

From the Billings Gazette:
Animal cruelty charges could be considered after a disturbing video surfaced of an apparent deer poaching incident that occurred last fall near the Dakota Access protest camps, the North Dakota Game and Fish Department said.

The agency released the video to the public in hopes of identifying men who pulled a deer to shore after it was struggling in the Cannonball River, stabbed the animal multiple times and suffocated it by shoving its nose in the mud.

The department received the video last week from a concerned citizen who saw it on Facebook, said Scott Winkelman, investigations supervisor.

Great Again: "Trump Effect" big part of Detroit Auto Show

Cobo Hall, site of Detroit
Auto Show
The globalism of Barack Obama is already in the rear view mirror of the auto industry.

From the Detroit News:
Automakers emphasized their commitments to build cars and trucks in the U.S. almost as often as they premiered new vehicles in the first days of the Detroit auto show.

Despite auto executives' repeated assurances that President-elect Donald Trump has not influenced their decision-making, the pledges came amid a steady stream of Twitter posts from Trump about building cars on U.S. soil.

The so-called "Trump effect" was palpable during the first two media days of the North American International Auto Show, while automakers wait to see if he delivers on campaign promises to renegotiate trade deals and slap tariffs on vehicles imported from Mexico and China — and hope they aren’t the next to be targeted.

Not just murder: All violent crime way up in Chiraq

"Building a New Chicago"
Here's a report that will embarrass Barack Obama, who returns to Chicago later today to give his farewell address.

Obama of course won't be living in Chicago after he moves out of the White House next week.

From ABC Chicago:
There are stunning new crime numbers from the FBI: in Chicago, it isn't just murders and shootings that are up - it is all violent crime.

Newly-obtained FBI data show that the crime surge in Chicago goes beyond the end of a gun. Overall violent crime - an umbrella figure that includes murder, rape, robbery and assault - jumped significantly here the first half of last year, an increase more than four times higher than the rest of the nation.

According to this FBI report, violent crime in the U.S. increased a little more than five percent the first half of last year. But in Chicago during the same period, overall violent crime heaved 24 percent.

While the numbers were driven by a surge in Chicago murders - 49 percent higher than the previous year - FBI data show the increase in all violent crime categories in Chicago is significantly outpacing the nation, with aggravated assault up 23 percent and robbery 28 percent higher.

(Video) Obama blames lack of "chief organizer" for Dems' defeat

Hillary Clinton didn't just lose the presidency. The Democrats failed to win back the House or the Senate. There are 33 Republican governors and the GOP controls 32 state legislatures.

Why did the Dems do so poorly in 2016.

Lame duck President Barack Obama blames that on lack of a "chief organizer." Chief organizer? That's the type of post you'd find in a failed socialist state. Of course Obama is too twisted by ideology to come to a different conclusion: people like conservative policy better.

(Video) Watch CNN reporters whine about being hated

This video is unintentionally funny. Watch as four CNN reporters complain about their unpopularity. Of course they blame Donald Trump and not their biased network's coverage.

Absent from their rant is mentions of the Clinton News Network colluding with the Democratic National Committee involving Wolf Blitzer, as well as two incidents of then-CNN analyst Donna Brazile sharing Democratic debate questions with the Hillary Clinton campaign.

One of the whiners you see is Brian Stelter, who mused on air on whether the media was too balanced as it covered the 2016 presidential election.

And these propagandists can't figure out why they are hated.

Chiraq: 1 dead and 8 wounded over weekend

The new year is off to a relatively peaceful start. Bitter cold weather probably had a lot to do with it, but just one person was murdered and only eight others were wounded in Chicago in the first full weekend of 2017.

But when you dig into the shootings and where they occurred, there is reason to worry, as most of them took place in normally quiet, relatively speaking, parts of Chiraq. The murder happened in the University Village neighborhood on the West Side. There were two Western Avenue shootings--one in Lincoln Square on the North Side and in Beverly on the Southwest Side. A man was shot in both hands in a Hyde Park drive-by, about a mile from President Obama's mansion in Kenwood. The soon to be ex-president will stay in Washington when his term expires next week. And on the Northwest Side, in Portage Park, a man was shot during an argument.

The four other shootings took place some of the usual hotbeds of violence. There were two North Lawndale shootings and two in Back of the Yards.

But the temperatures are climbing today.

#ChicagoValues: Free tickets to Obama Farewell being scalped for up to $5K

Chicago's lakefront
Chicago values are being played out when you of course most expect it.

From the Chicago Tribune:
While President Barack Obama's farewell address was intended to be a free event for those hoping to hear his final oration as commander in chief, there appears to be no shortage of people looking to make a profit from the historic occasion.

Obama, a former U.S. senator turned two-term president, will deliver his last presidential speech Tuesday evening at Chicago's McCormick Place. Free tickets were available on a first-come, first-served basis Saturday morning, prompting several thousand people to withstand single-digit temperatures to wait in line for tickets. By 7 a.m., Chicago police officials were warning hopefuls not already in line not to bother. The crowds had grown so large that all of the available tickets would be scooped up.

By Sunday, advertisements to auction dozens of the elusive tickets had sprouted up on secondary market websites like eBay and Craigslist asking for as much as $5,000 apiece.

Left unclear, however, was whether those tickets were legitimate or could be legally sold.

Roy Wood and Jools Holland: Blackberry Way

If you live in Great Britain and you are, let's say, of the autumnal age, then you know the Move, which was led by Roy Wood, as one of the great British bands of the 1960s. But they never caught on in the United States, they only had one short American tour and back then if you didn't tour here it was a challenge to get radio airplay. And if you didn't get airplay no one knew about your music.

But late in 1970 Jeff Lynne joined the Move, the band morphed into Electric Light Orchestra, which became an international phenomenon. Wood left ELO in 1972, which left Lynne as the creative force.

I thought Wood was dead, but he appeared last week on Jools' Holland's annual BBC New Year's Eve show, Hootenanny.

Watch as Wood and Holland's orchestra knock out a killer version of the Move's only number one British single, "Blackberry Way."

Chicago Facebook video thugs denied bail

Neighborhood where the attacks
took place
The four Chiraq thugs charged with hate crimes and other illegal cruel acts that were shown live on Facebook were denied bail by a Cook County Circuit Court judge Friday afternoon.

The victim, a young white man with special needs, was allegedly attacked by four young blacks.

From ABC Chicago:
Prosecutors said the alleged actions began under the guise of a sleepover with one of the suspects, Jordan Hill, on New Year's Eve. His family became concerned when they lost contact two days later. According to prosecutors, Hill beat the victim in a van and brought him to an apartment on Chicago's West Side when the torment continued.

"A male shoves the victim's face into a toilet bowl and the victim is told to drink toilet water. The victim is punched in the head. The victim is screaming 'no' in fear when the male walks over to him with a knife and states, 'Should I shank his a**?' Also heard on the video multiple times is a male voice threatening to kill the victim," said Asst. State's Attorney Erin Antonietti.

Police said his beating and torture went on for hours. The disturbing video, which was viewed by people across the country, has been removed from Facebook.

"A male is seen cutting the victim's hair with a knife, and the victim's head is cut with blood coming from the wound. A female punches the victim and is laughing. A male's foot is on the victim's head. A male pulls the cord around the victim's neck, and holds him up while the victim is groaning in pain," Antonietti said.
As I reported earlier this week, the victim was forced to say "Fuck white people" and "Fuck Donald Trump."

Likely three of the alleged attackers are products of Chicago's failed public school system. On Thursday, the day before Trump is inaugurated president, the Chicago Teachers Union will take part in a National Day of Resistance. Teachers should teach--not indoctrinate.

While on Hannity last night Ted Cruz said that an effective way to "drain the swamp" would be to institute term limits for members of Congress.

Do we really need eternal senators such as Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Dick Durbin (D-IL), and Lindsey Graham (R-SC)?

(Video) Krauthammer: Obama sees his reputation at stake

Lame duck President Barack Obama sees his reputation, a tattered one in my opinion, at stake, which is why he is already defending his well, accomplishments, such as the unpopular ObamaCare law.

Obama will be the first president since Woodrow Wilson not to leave Washington after his term expired. Wilson, however, was a sick man who died in DC three years later. I see ex-president Obama hanging around the capital city for the next few years and behaving like a mean poodle who is jealous that his owner has a new pet.

With Obama, his presidency was always about him.

Chicago Tribune pushes racist Facebook hate crime to page 6

Media bias is alive and well in Chicago. A top news story is the vicious attack allegedly by four young blacks against a young white man on Chicago's West Side is top fare on Fox News, conservative talk radio, but in the Chicago Tribune Thursday's print edition the story was buried on page six of section one. Yep, page six.

The victim, a special needs person was beaten, slashed, bound and gagged, forced to drink toilet water, and was compelled to say "Fuck Donald Trump" and "Fuck white people."

Page six. This sad story belongs on the front page.

Here is more proof that real diversity is needed in newsrooms. Not just racial diversity, but newspapers such as the Tribune need to include reporters who didn't go to the same elite colleges, who regularly attend worship services, and who don't vote straight Democratic each general election.

The alleged attackers have been charge with kidnapping, hate crimes, and other offenses.

Crony capitalism update: Sears Holdings closing 150 stores, selling Craftsman

Six years ago Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, a Democrat, signed a tax break deal to prevent Hoffman Estates' based Sears Holdings, which owns Kmart and of course Sears, from leaving the state. Earlier that year Quinn signed into law a massive income tax hike, a so-called temporary one that was not made permanent only because Republican Bruce Rauner defeated him in 2014.

Where was my tax break?

Almost immediately after Quinn signed the crony capitalism tax break for Sears Holdings, they closed a bunch of stores. And they closed some more outlets in 2015 and last year too.

Yesterday Sears Holdings announced it is closing 150 more stores, including two in Illinois.

This morning Sears Holdings--which, by the way is struggling, did you know that?--announced it was selling its prestigious Craftsman tool line.

Heckuva job, Quinn, heckuva job.

Also five years ago, Quinn handed out tax breaks to Mitsubishi Motors. In 2015 its Illinois plant, its only one in the United States, closed.

Reagan lifeguard statue stalled

Author outside Dixon
Yes, Dixon has two Reagan statues already. But it needs this third one, if only to counteract the many expected Illinois temples to Dear Leader Obama once he leaves office.

From the Chicago Tribune:
Three years ago, Ronald Reagan enthusiasts in his boyhood hometown of Dixon, Ill., started a drive to place a statue depicting the former president as a lifeguard in the park where he held that job for seven summers.

Then the man leading the effort, Dixon Mayor Jim Burke, died in February 2016, and the campaign for the lifeguard statue stalled. That's where it has remained.

"He was our big gun," John Weitzel, a supporter of the statue idea and lifelong Dixon resident, said of Burke. "It's a great idea and a wonderful plan that just went off into limbo and nobody would pick up the baton. It's a shame."

Burke started the statue drive in 2013, a year before he announced he would not seek re-election to a fifth term. He had raised about $7,000 for a tentative design of what was estimated to be a $200,000 privately funded project to create and erect the statue along the banks of the Rock River north of town.

Hate crime: Special needs white man tortured on video in Chiraq

East Garfield Park
Had the victim been a black man, lame duck President Barack Obama's politicized Justice Department would have sent a dozen lawyers to Chicago by now.

But the victim is a white man, with special needs--and the perpetrators are black. But that of course doesn't mean he suffers any less.

Nothing to see here, liberals will say, move along.

From Fox Chicago:
Chicago investigators are questioning four African-Americans after a Facebook Live video shows a group of people torturing a white mentally disabled man while someone yelled "F*** Trump!" and "F*** white people!"

Chicago police were made aware of the video Tuesday afternoon. A young African American woman streamed the video live on Facebook showing at least four people holding the young white man hostage.
Throughout the video, the victim is repeatedly kicked and hit, his scalp is cut, all while he is tied up with his mouth taped shut.

At one point, the victim is held at knife point and told to curse President-elect Donald Trump. The group also forces the victim to drink water from a toilet.
The atrocities occurred in the hellhole called East Garfield Park, which I visited about a year ago in one of my urban exploration trips. It is one of Chiraq's most violent neighborhoods--and there is stiff competition there.

The four alleged torturers are in police custody.

From ABC Chicago:
Four people were accused Thursday of committing a hate crime, in connection with the apparent torture of an 18-year-old man with special needs that was streamed live on Facebook. They each face several other charges.

Jordan Hill, 18, of Carpentersville; Tesfaye Cooper, 18, of Chicago; Brittany Covington, 18, of Chicago; and Tanishia Covington, 24, of Chicago were each charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary. Hill was also charged with robbery and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
So far there is no statement from President Barack Obama about this hateful torture spree that happened in his hometown. Next week the lame duck will give his farewell address in Chicago.

Racial animosity is at its highest level, in my opinion, since the early 1970s. Obama owns it. His embrace of radical groups such as Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter fueled the fire. His collectivist style of ruling--dividing people into groups and subgroups, so he can be their savior--plays a role in the rise of racial hate. The lame duck quickly inserted himself into the Trayvon Martin shooting and the Ferguson, Missouri unrest.

Why so silent, Obama? Because the victim is white and the alleged attackers are black?

I just visited the White House web site. There is a statement on the official delegation that will be sent to Ghana for the inauguration of Nana Akufo-Addo. There is nothing on the attack and kidnapping of the Chicago special needs man as of this hour.

Tucker Carlson: Chicago gun measures fail as murder rate skyrockets

The answer for curing Chiraq of its high murder rate is too crack down on guns. Right? But Fox News' Tucker Carlson says, correctly, that Chicago already has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation.

New York and Los Angeles have far more residents than Chicago. But America's third largest city, for now, that is, suffered more murders than both places combined.

Chiraq Rising: 6 dead and 55 wounded over New Year weekend

On New Year's Eve in downtown Chicago the second annual Chi-Town Rising celebration occurred. Meanwhile in the rest of the city it was Chiraq Rising. Six people were shot to death over the three day New Year weekend--and at least 55 others were wounded.

Meanwhile, President-elect Donald J. Trump excoriated Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Twitter."Chicago murder rate is record setting ," Trump Tweeted, "4,331 shooting victims with 762 murders in 2016. If Mayor can't do it he must ask for Federal help!"
In other Chiraq news, the Chicago Police Department hurriedly announced that Chicago's 2016 total was 762 yesterday. Why? Because Monday was a federal holiday, a great day to dump bad news, although the CPD is using an old playbook, people get their news at all times now on their smartphones and tables.

But why the hurry? Those 762 murders were 57 percent more killings than last year--and more than New York City and Los Angeles combined. But Hey Jackass, which I trust more than the CPD PR hacks, has this to say:
While the 800 homicide gorilla was denied entry into 2016's frunchroom by the time the clock struck midnight, the year's final tally will most likely exceed the 800 level soon due to late passings, reclassified death investigations and found bodies. Have yourself a safe and prosperous new year.
Hey Jackass' murder total for last year is as of now 795.

Have a safe and prosperous 2017, staying out of Chiraq will assist you in doing that.

Assange says Russia not source for Podesta emails

Meanwhile the Democratic Party, the old guard media, and yes, a few Republicans are pushing the Russian hack fake news story.

From the Daily Mail:
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has said Barack Obama is 'trying to delegitimize the Trump administration' by claiming the Russian government hacked Democrats' emails during the bitter presidential election.

Assange, whose interview with Sean Hannity will air on Fox News tonight, also reiterated his claims that Russia was not the source of the hacks.

He told Hannity 'with a thousand per cent' confidence that the Russian government was not responsible for emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee and John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman.
