(Video) White House lies on Benghazi revealed in email release

President Obama lied about ObamaCare and being able to keep existing health care plans and the White House lied about Benghazi.

According to the emails, the idea was "To underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy" and "To reinforce the President and Administration's strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges."

The Z-list anti-Islam video had nothing to do with the Benghazi murders.

From Fox News:
Newly released emails on the Benghazi terror attack suggest a senior White House aide played a central role in preparing former U.N. ambassador Susan Rice for her controversial Sunday show appearances -- where she wrongly blamed protests over an Internet video.

More than 100 pages of documents were released to the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. Among them was a Sept. 14, 2012, email from Ben Rhodes, an assistant to the president and deputy national security adviser for strategic communications.

The Rhodes email, with the subject line: "RE: PREP Call with Susan: Saturday at 4:00 pm ET," was sent to a dozen members of the administration's inner circle, including key members of the White House communications team such as Press Secretary Jay Carney.

In the email, Rhodes specifically draws attention to the anti-Islam Internet video, without distinguishing whether the Benghazi attack was different from protests elsewhere.
More from ABC News:

Obama lied and people died. And had this story gotten out in the autumn of 2012, Obama would have been a one-term president.

Classic car: 1989 Acura Integra

When Honda's luxury division, Acura, brought its first cars to market for the 1987 model year, it had just two vehicles--the Legend and the Integra.

Pictured below is a 1989 Integra hatchback two-door in Superior Blue Metallic.

For reasons only they know, Acura no longer makes two-door cars.

Obama Winter: GDP grew by 0.1 percent in first quarter

Wow. The first quarter gross domestic product number is out--and it is terrible. Our economy "grew" by 0.1 percent. Cold weather is being blamed--what happened to global warming? And what about snow plow operators, body shop owners, and car battery manufacturers? They don't count? Well, I'm sure they do, but how much better would the GDP have been if it had been warmer. The Obama econimy--Obama Winter--has been weak for the entirety of his presidency.

225 years ago today: George Washington takes first presidential oath

Washington Circle,
Washington DC
I wonder if anyone else will notice?

It was on this day--April 30, 1789--that George Washington was sworn in as the first president of the United States.

He took the oath on the balcony of Federal Hall in New York--then the capital of the new nation.

Washington of course was one of our greatest presidents. Everything he did in the office, however small, set precedent. The foundation when he left office eight years later was strong.

ILL-inois: Quinn anti-violence slush fund under investigation

Illinois' phony reformer, Chicago Democrat Pat Quinn, who twice was Rod Blagojevich's running mate, is in trouble again.

From the Chicago Tribune:
Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez has launched a probe of a troubled $55 million anti-violence program Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn put in place in 2010 amid a tough election battle.

A grand jury issued a subpoena seeking documents related to the Neighborhood Recovery Initiative Program, which funneled money to various community groups in what Quinn billed as an effort to target crime in some of Chicago's most dangerous neighborhoods.

Republican critics contend the program was a slush fund designed to shore up support for Quinn in heavily Democratic Cook County, while a recent scathing state audit found the initiative was "hastily implemented" and failed to track how taxpayer dollars were spent.

Alvarez sought documents pertaining to the names and identities of those who received grants under the program, as well as copies of all payment invoices and related audits and compliance reports.
The only anti-violence program that has worked recently in Chicago is cold weather.

There is a better choice for Illinois governor--Republican Bruce Rauner.

Global warming news: Road salt from brutal winter will cause infrastructure decay

SEIU protester
This story on the surface seems wonkish, but it's a beauty for liberals who love to pick our pockets. To battle so called human-caused global warming, they want to add all kinds of taxes, including a cap-and-trade scheme.

But most of the nation was clobbered by our last winter, which was brutally cold and snowy. To fight slippery and dangerous roads, road salt is used.

But there is a downside, as CBS 2 Chicago tells us.
Last winter, the city used 436,000 tons of salt. That's more than three times the amount used 145,000 tons used the winter before, 145,000 tons, and more than four times the 102,000 tons used for the 2011-2012 winter.

The salt eventually seeps through the concrete and corrodes the steel inside.

"When the steel corrodes, the structure gradually loses its capacity," said [civil engineer Dr. Gongkang] Fu. "Eventually it will cause significant failure of the structure."

"If we used to say this structure can be there for another 20 years or so, then it might become 10 or 15."
Falling chunks of concrete might come much earlier.

But here's how this story plays for libs. On one end they demand tax scams to wean us from fossil fuels. Yet they are always whining that our roads are falling apart and our bridges are about to collapse so they can raise our taxes, although the money goes who-knows-where. Yes, we need to repair bridges and resurface bad roads. But the so-called progressives win on both ends--whether it's hold or cold.
