Obama's inauguration minister: All white people are going to hell

There's another radical minister in President Obama's circle.

From the Georgia Tipsheet:
The man who delivered the benediction at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration said that he believes again, as he once did in his "militant" youth, that all whites are hell-bound.

The Rev. Joseph Lowery, a patriarch of the civil rights movement and close ally of the president, said at a weekend rally in central Georgia that the "level and hatred and bitterness" borne of this election had made him a believer that whites were going to hell.

According to the Monroe County Reporter, Lowery said he believed in his youth that "all white folks were going to hell." He mellowed, he said, later believing that not all whites would get their brimstone comeuppance. Merely "most" of them.

The Other McCain: NJ Democratic senator and hookers?

This afternoon I watched Sen Bob Menendez (D-NJ) on CNN looking pretty darn senatorial as he was overseeing Hurricane Sandy relief efforts on the New Jersey shore. But according to The Other McCain, Menendez will be feeling as if he had a head-on collision with Frankenstorm. According to that blog, the Daily Caller is about to implicate Menendez in a sex scandal with Dominican prostitutes.

It won't be a Happy Halloween for Menendez. Election Day may not go well for him either--his Republican opponent is Joe Kyrillos.

UPDATE November 1: The Daily Caller story is online:
Two women from the Dominican Republic told The Daily Caller that Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez paid them for sex earlier this year.

In interviews, the two women said they met Menendez around Easter at Casa de Campo, an expensive 7,000 acre resort in the Dominican Republic. They claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, but in the end they each received only $100.

The women spoke through a translator in the company of their attorney, Melanio Figueroa. Both asked that their identities remain obscured for fear of reprisals in the Dominican Republic.

When shown a photograph of Sen. Menendez, the women said they recognized him as the man with whom they’d had sexual relations at Casa de Campo this spring. Both said they were brought to the resort with the understanding they would be paid for sex.
A spokeswoman for Menendez denies the accusations.
