Forty-five years ago today: JFK assassinated

John F. Kennedy was assassinated on this date in 1963. I have no memories of the event, I was just shy of age two when it happened, my mother tells I was watching "Bozo's Circus" on WGN-TV at the time.

So I was spared the national gloom the enveloped the nation in the days that followed.
