The decline and fall of fall

This just might be my last fall colors post this year. This lonely Sugar Maple is late for the party, I took this photograph a couple of hours ago in the Linne Woods Forest Preserve in Morton Grove

Most of the leaves are on the ground now, Bur Oaks being an exception.

    Nice pic. All the trees on my block are bare except one. My
    neighbors cherry tree. A friend of mine is up north in the U.P of
    Michigan. he said they already have
    snow. Around a foot & a half. Don't
    know about you, but I'm not looking
    forward to the white stuff
    just yet.
