Ten years ago today: Saddam Hussein captured

It was on this day in 2013 when the Butcher of Baghdad, Saddam Hussein, was captured by the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 4th Infantry Division of the US Army, near the ousted tyrant's hometown of Tikrit. Three years later Saddam was hanged after being convicted of crimes against humanity.

It was a great day for Iraq and a memorable day for freedom.
