I must have driven past this old brick home on Shermer Road in Niles, Illinois over 100 times. But there the edge of the property was lined with tall evergreens. But they were chopped down this summer--and like something removed from a time capsule--there was this yellow beauty.
I would have posted about his house earlier, but I've unable to learn much about it so far. So here's that home--which appears to have grown over the years. I suspect that the second floor was added later, then the TV antenna. And those skylights were installed much later.
