"Put on earth" to fix IL pensions, Quinn turns down his own pension committee's invite to testify

Metropolis, IL
It has been 444 days since Gov. Pat Quinn said he was "put on earth" to fix Illinois pensions. More recently, Kal-El formed a committee to address the crisis--the Prairie State's pensions are underfunded by at least $100 billion. The bipartisan committee says they won't be able to meet Quinn's Tuesday deadline to repair the leaky boat. But they did ask Quinn to testify on Monday.

But Superman said "No," he'll send his members of budget staff instead.

What a wuss.
